After losing two loved ones over a short period of time, it was almost impossible for me to express my feelings. Neither to friends nor to the canvas. It was as if the feelings were covered by a disproportionately cheerful surface. Ironically, it was during this time that I created the most colorful series of my work to date. But if you take a closer look, you can actually see beneath the gaudy façade.
